Sizing Overview

Fit should not be compromised for any other considerations. Body shape and sizing varies from customer to customer. Not every customer will fit every pack. Adjustable packs allow customers to fine-tune the fit for optimal carry performance.


TORSO LENGTH	HIPBELT SIZE	SHOULDER STRAP
Pack size is based on torso length.	The hipbelt size and fit affects how the load transfers from the pack and carries on the hips.	The harness size and/or length of the strap affects how the pack stabilizes and wraps around the shoulders.

Torso Length/Sizing

Many Osprey packs are available in multiple sizes to fit a range of torso lengths. To determine your torso measurement, please see diagram below.


1. Find iliac crest. Top of hip bone	2. On back of neck, find C7 vertebra. Touch your chin to your chest and feel the large protruding bone at the base of your neck.	3. Measure from C7 vertebra to the iliac crest to determine torso length.

Hipbelt Sizing

To determine hipbelt size, measure around the hips at the iliac crest, not the waist. The padded portion should wrap well around the hips, leaving a gap of 3" to 6" between the tips of both hip pads when securely tightened.

Light but durable Nanofly® fabric keeps the weight down while an injection-molded backpanel and continuous-wrap harness and hipbelt move with you during demanding activities. This top-loader features zippered hip pockets, attachment options for ice axes and trekking poles, and a reservoir sleeve. Made with ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene ripstop, GRS-certified recycled materials and PFC-free DWR coating.
